SCU Setup: Relays

Relay 1
Function:
Assigns a status output function to relay 1
(„Override Alarm“ relay at TB 1.34 - 1.36)
Settings:
NONE
No function assigned.
OFF HDG ALARM
Relay is energized if „off heading“ condition is true.
HDG DIFFERENCE
Relay is energized if „heading difference“ condition is true.
OVERRIDE (default)
Relay is energized if override condition exists.
DEADMAN CONTACT
Relay is energized for one second at each operator interaction.
EXT SYS ACTIVE
Relay is energized if override condition exists.
HELM ADVISOR
Relay is energized if the helm wheel has been moved from the
midship’s position at least 5 degrees for 10 seconds.
MUTE
Relay is energized for one second when an audible alarm is ac-
knowledged.
AUTO (W/OVR)
Relay is energized in steering mode Auto, operating mode
AUTO (heading control) active at NAVIPILOT 4000. Relay re-
mains released during bus override in mode Auto.
NAV MODE
Relay is energized in steering mode Auto, operating mode NAV
active at NAVIPILOT 4000.
TRACK MODE
Relay is energized in steering mode Auto, operating mode
TRACK active at NAVIPILOT 4000.
