Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 module fundamentals
Both the 8648TXE and 8648TXM module ports support the IEEE 802.3
1998 Clause 28 Auto-Negotiation standard. Each port can operate in full-
or half-duplex mode. When a port is connected to another device that also
supports the IEEE 802.3 1998 Clause 28 Auto-Negotiation standard, the
two devices negotiate the highest possible data rate and the duplex mode
of operation.
