the connection, and the port is sending or
receiving.
Off
The port is not connected; or is connected but
has no link.
Green, Steady
The module has completed the power-on
self-test and software initialization and is
operating normally.
Amber, Steady
The module failed the power-on self-test.
Module
Online
Off
The module power is off. If the switch power
is on, the module is performing the power-on
self-test and software initialization. A module
in this state is not yet functional.
The 8624FXE module supports up to 32 000 table entries in its forwarding
engine.
The 8624FXE module does not support R or M mode.
8632TXE and 8632TXM modules
The 8632TXE and 8632TXM modules provide 32 autonegotiating
10BASE-T/100BASE-TX ports that use 8-pin modular (RJ-45) connectors.
Ports operate at either 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps up to distances of 100 m with
CAT 3 or better unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. The following figure
shows the 8632TXE or 8632TXM module.

Two bays are provided for 1000BASE-X GBICs.
The 8632TXE and 8632TXM module ports support the IEEE 802.3 1998
Clause 28 Auto-Negotiation standard. Each port can operate in full- or
