How this document is organized
The 241-7401-240 Passport 7400 Hardware Installation, Maintenance and
Upgrade document contains common hardware tasks. Each chapter in this
document represents an individual task. Each task is made up of a
combination of particular procedures. Flowchart figures provide a visual
guide to help you navigate through a task by showing the order of all required
procedures. Immediately following each task flow figure is a bulleted list of
links to all of the procedures mentioned in the task flow.
Some of the procedures required by a task may be located in another NTP, for
example software configuration procedures will be found in 241-5701-600
Passport 7400, 15000, 20000 Configuration Guide.
The intention is that you will start by reading the high-level task and then
navigate to the required procedures. See “Sample task flow” (page 25).
