Installing a PMC Module on the Expansion Card
To install a PMC module on the expansion card for the first time:
1.
Put on an antistatic wrist strap.
For instructions, see “Attaching the Antistatic Wrist Strap” on page 3-2.
2.
Place the expansion card on a flat surface.
3.
If you are installing 2 PMC modules, push the PMC module filler panel
out from behind the card bezel (see
Figure 2-8 on page 2-10 ).
4.
Make sure that you are installing the appropriate PMC module on the
expansion card.
For instructions, see Table 2-1 on page 2-3 .
5.
Hold the PMC module with the connectors facing down.
Caution:
Electrostatic discharge can damage hardware. You must wear the
antistatic wrist strap on your arm whenever you handle printed circuit boards.
