56/64K DSU/CSU Module
The 56/64K DSU/CSU module supports the Digital Data Service (DDS) without
the secondary signaling channel. Both Port 2 and Port 3 can support the 56/64K
DSU/CSU module.
The adapter module must be inserted into the unit with the component side up.
The 56/64K DSU/CSU WAN Module has four indicators.
The chart below describes the indicator functions for the 56/64K DSU/CSU WAN
Module.
Note: This module is designed to accept an RJ-48 connector; however, it
is compatible with an RJ-45 cable connector.
Indicator Status Definition
TxD (Transmit Data) Lights when the interface transmits data over the network
RxD (Receive Data) Lights when the interface receives data from the network
CD (Carrier Detect) Lights when the interface detects a connection to another device
Test Lights when the interface is in test or loopback mode
