This chaper describes the Regulatory Requirements and Telephone Company
Requirements necessary for connecting to a telephone network and operating
your Passport 4400 unit (4430/4450/4455).
Regulatory Requirements
Notice of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
The following label certifies that, when installed in an approved chassis, the
voice/fax module meets EMC Level A of the EN55022 Standard. This label is
also affixed to the voice module.
In addition to the EMC Standard, this module meets and complies with the EN
50082 Immunity Standard.

Before performing any of the procedures included in this chapter, read the safety
information below.
Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL), for North America, (TÜV) for Germany,
and (C-UL) for France request that the following statements of warning be made
in three languages to help in the safe operation of the unit.
