Interpreting POST diagnostics

Introduction

This section explains POST diagnostic codes.

Definition

The Power-On-Self-Test (POST) is a system diagnostic program (stored in 
the BIOS) that runs every time the 702t server is started. POST’s function is 
to test system components, and then to display status messages.

POST message formats

POST reports on the system status using POST beep codes.
