DSP numbering and location
Introduction
DSPs are the voice processing components of the MPC-8 card and the
MPB16-4 board. The DSPs are numbered to distinguish each DSP in
CallPilot maintenance programs such as the Maintenance Admin applet in
CallPilot Manager.
Each MPC-8 card is referred to as a DSP. The MPB16-4 boards also have
built-in or embedded DSPs. Each DSP supports up to eight multimedia
channels.
MPB16-4 DSP numbering and location
MPB16-4 boards have two embedded DSPs and can support up to four
optional MPC-8 (DSP) cards. The DSP numbering starts with the embedded
DSPs and then continues with the MPC-8 cards going from left to right.
The pictures on the following page illustrate the DSP numbering on the first
two MPC16-4 boards.
ATTENTION
Since CallPilot 1.07, the CallPilot server is shipped with
the MPB16-4 board fully loaded (all four optional MPC-8
cards installed). The number of multimedia channels
actually available for use is controlled by the keycode.
