Cleaning and Inspection
1. Clean all parts in a compatible solvent.
2. Inspect all parts for damage. Replace any parts that are worn, cracked,
pitted, or scored.
Ball Check Test
Test the pressure and siphon ball checks for leaks by placing the seats on
top of the balls and pouring a small quantity of solvent into each seat. If the
solvent does not leak from the seats, you do not need to replace the seats
or balls.
Assembly
Upper and Lower Packing Assemblies
1. Lubricate the new V-rings (A and B) with O-ring lubricant. Assemble the
V-rings and male and female adapters as shown.

Type U V-rings: 10 UHMWPE, 6 upper and 4 lower
S
Type F upper V-rings: 3 PTFE, 3 leather, alternating
S
Type F lower V-rings: 2 PTFE, 2 leather, alternating
S
Type L upper V-rings: 3 UHMWPE, 3 leather V-rings, alternating
S
Type L lower V-rings: 2 UHMWPE, 2 leather, alternating

NOTE:
Apply Parker O-Lube or equivalent to all
V-rings before assembling.
