2. DESCRIPTION
The device is made up of metal sheet plates in painted steel, castings of cast iron.
The hearth is coated by cast iron castings or IRONKER, the grate holder and the
related extractible grating are both made of cast iron. The combustion chamber
assembly is air-tight by welding and covered with a galvanized sheet metal carter.
The appliances are equipped with an integrated air circuit for the recovery of the
heat made up of a galvanized steel carter external to the heating body.
The sight door is assembled on extensible ball guides, which assure a robust and
silent operation reliable in time.
The door lifting counter-weight is supported by two sturdy chains with related
pinions.
The ceramic glass (resistant up to 700 °C) of the d oor allows a charming view on
burning flames and avoids any leak of sparks and smoke.
Under the hearth grating there is a easily extractable ash drawer, also when the
appliance works.
The heating of the room occurs:
a) by convection: the passage of air through the coating and the covering
hood releases heat in the room.
b) by radiation: through the sight glass and the steel body, heat is radiated
into the room.
The device is equipped with registers of primary and secondary air, with which it
is possible to adjust the combustion air.
1A- PRIMARY air register (Picture 1)
With the air register located under the door of the hearth, it is possible to adjust
the air flow through the ash drawer and the grating in direction of the fuel. The
primary air is necessary for the combustion process. In order to open the air
flow, the bar must be completely pulled out.
The ash drawer has to be emptied regularly, so that ash cannot hinder the
intake of primary air for the combustion. Primary air is also necessary to keep
fire live.
During the combustion of wood, the primary air register must be opened
only a few, since otherwise the wood burns quickly and the device can
overheat.
2A- SECONDARY air register (Picture 1)
When the bar is pushed to the back the passage of the secondary is
completely open.
The secondary air, passing through the two lateral jambs of the front side,
heats itself starting the double combustion and keeping at the same time the
glass clean ( with open register).
3. REGULATIONS FOR INSTALLATION
