Programming a SoftDevice

This function lets you program the SoftDevice onto the chip.

1. Follow the steps in

Section 6.1.1 “Selecting a board to program”

on page 34 and then select the

Program SoftDevice

tab.

2. Click

Browse

and select the HEX file to program.

3. Select whether to enable or disable readback protection of Region 0.
4. Set the SoftDevice size. This sets the size of the code memory region 0 and will not be available if

the size is defined by the HEX file.

www.nordicsemi.com

by logging

into your MyPage account and entering the product key printed in the Development Kit.
