System Operation
Initial System Set-Up
Follow the below steps when setting up the system for the first time.
1.
Fully charge display and signal processor per instructions in "Charging
the System" section on page 27.
2.
Press and hold the
On/Off, Sleep
button on signal processor until all
three green LEDs blink on and Blue Bluetooth LED begins to blink.
3.
Press and hold the
On/Off, Sleep
button on display until screen turns
on.
4.
It is recommended to set Date and Time following “Setting Date and
Time” instructions in "Setting Date and Time" section on page 35 upon
initial setup of device.
5.
Connect sensor to signal processor and engage sensor lock.
6.
Observe display during start-up to ensure screen is working and
expected parameters are indicated.
7.
System is now ready to take a measurement or to be turned off for future
use.
Start-up Sequence
Each time the display is turned on, it performs a brief start-up sequence.
1.
Press
On/Off, Sleep
button on display.
2.
The display lights up and displays the welcome screen.
3.
Display will automatically connect to signal processor.
4.
Sensor and signal processor turn on.
CAUTION:
Between patients,
start a new patient record. This can be
accomplished either by placing the CO-Pilot System into Sleep Mode or
by pressing and holding the event mark button.
WARNING: This device is intended only as an adjunct device in patient
assessment. It should not be used as the sole basis for diagnosis or
therapy decisions. It must be used in conjunction with other methods of
assessing clinical signs and symptoms.
WARNING: As with all medical equipment, carefully route patient cables
and connections to reduce the possibility of entanglement, strangulation,
or tripping.
