MANAGING THE RECORDINGS
When a recording is imported on the PC, a folder corresponding to the patient gets
automatically created in the 'Default root folder' defined in APIOS (see 'Tools' menu, then
'Options'). If a folder corresponding to this patient is already present in the 'Default root
folder', the recording is simply added to the existing patient folder.
The name of a patient folder is composed of the patient's last name, first name and
birthdate.
Thus, each patient has his/her own folder and each patient folder contains the recording(s)
associated with this patient. The recordings are in EDF format (European Data Format) with
'.edf' suffix. A '.sor' file is also associated with each recording. This file contains the
recording's raw data and should be provided to technical support in case of problem.
In a patient folder, a set of files accompany the recording(s). Do not erase any of them!
In case of a technical problem or of a problem with data interpretation for
which you contact technical support, it is recommended to compress the
integrality of the patient folder where the recording in question is located
and to send the whole folder.
To archive a recording, you have to proceed manually. On the computer, you have to go to
the root folder which contains the patient folder, then move the whole patient folder towards
an archive directory of your choice.
RECHARGING THE BATTERY
The device contains an internal battery. The battery is a rechargeable Lithium Polymer type
battery. The battery is recharged via the same USB cable used for importing recordings. For
a full recharge, connect the device to a
USB charger.
In order to ensure optimal safety, please observe the rules given for battery
in the section "Warnings and Safety Notices".
It is recommended to recharge the battery completely in between each recording.
When charging, the yellow indicator light on the front face of the selected device will start
flashing and will keep flashing until its battery is fully recharged. A full charge takes between
3 and 4 hours. When fully charged, the yellow light stays ON permanently. It is advisable not
to unplug the unit while charging is in progress.
