If the lights do not work:
1) Ensure the switch, if present, is in the on position and any battery tab is removed.
2) Low light levels caused by the position of the light, lack of sun or short daylight hours will shorten the
light duration.
3) Other lighting can cause flickering in a solar lig
ht or even prevent it from operating.
4) Check the batteries in case they need replacing.
5) If solar panels get dirty, the charging capacity will be reduced. Clean solar panels occasionally with a damp cloth.
Avoid harsh detergents or solvents as these can damage the solar panels.
For outdoor use
CAUTION:
1) If the solar panel is covered by a protective film, remove i
t before using the product.
2) Replace the old battery with a new solar Ni-Cd or Ni-MH AA 1.2 V 150 mAh.
Do not use an alkaline or carbon-zinc battery.
3) Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
4) Remove/replace batteries that no longer are performing to peak capacity.
5) Remove and properly store battery from light fixture if pr
oduct is to be stored or left unused for a long period
of time.
6) Contains nickel-cadmium rechargeable batteries. Batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly. Dispose of
as per the requirements of your local municipality.

1) Carefully remove the parts from the packaging.
2) Remove the battery tab before use (see Fig. 1).
3) Attach the top and lens to stem and spike prior to installation (see Fig. 2).
4) Maximum sunlight will give the internal battery the best cha
rge
and give the best results.
5) Position solar lights where they are free from cover or shade; ideally, in a position that
receives full sun throughout the day.
6) Avoid other light sources which may cause solar lights to flicker on and off.
Also allow a space of approximately 5' (1.5 m) between sola
r lights.
7) Push the spike carefully into the ground. If the ground is h
ard, first make a hole
to avoid damaging the spike.
8) Solar lights will not be very bright or long lasting until a full day’s sunlight has been
received.
9) Alternatively, batteries can be charged to full capacity in a battery charger before use.
10) Twist the top housing counter-clockwise to remove the lens. Remove the battery
cover to change the battery (see Fig. 3).
