Connection of an analogue satellite receiver and a videorecorder
Smart Switch
With a Smart
Switch
• Connect a SCART cable to the main SCART socket on the TV
set and to the TV SCART socket on Mediamaster.
• Connect a SCART cable between the videorecorder and the
AUX SCART socket on Mediamaster.
• Connect an RF cable between the RF output on the
videorecorder and the TV antenna input on the TV set.
• Connect an RF cable between the RF output
on the analogue receiver and the RF input socket
on the videorecorder.
• Connect the TV antenna to the RF input
on the analogue receiver.
A priority switch of a Smart Switch type (A B in the figure) or
a universal “Twin” LNB is required to switch the antenna signal
between analogue and digital receivers.

When you wish to watch digital satellite channels through
Mediamaster, the analogue receiver shall be off (standby).
MEDIAMASTER INSTALLATION
Connection of the integrated modem
The modem integrated in Mediamaster is meant for the use
of interactive services (see page 37).
• Connect a phone cable between the PHONE LINE connector
on the back panel of Mediamaster and the home phone jack.
Connection of an HiFi installation
• Connect an RCA/Cinch stereo cable between the LEFT /
RIGHT AUDIO plugs on Mediamaster and the LINE, AUX,
SPARE or EXTRA input sockets on the HiFi installation.
• If available, connect a single RCA/Cinch cable between the
DIGITAL AUDIO plug on Mediamaster and the HiFi or Dolby
Pro Logic installation.
Note:
To avoid any interference, use a shielded video cable.
