Lock code
— This setting allows you to change the lock code. The changing
procedure is described at the beginning of this "Security" section. The new
code must be 5 digits long.
If you key in an incorrect lock code several times in succession, the
communicator must be sent back to the dealer to be unlocked.
Barring password
— This setting allows you to change the barring password. The
new code must be 4 digits long. To change the password, the phone must be on
and within the network coverage, the Call barring service must be activated for
your SIM card which must be valid and inserted in the communicator.
If you enter an incorrect barring password three times, the password is
blocked and you must ask the network operator for a new password.
User data
The User data card contains your personal information. You can freely edit the
information in the
Name
,
Company
,
Job title
,
Address
,
Tel
,
Fax
,
Tel(GSM)
,
Fax(GSM)
,
and
URL
fields.
The User data will automatically be included in the corresponding fields of the
fax cover page in the Fax application. Likewise, the SMS application uses this
information when you send your own business card.
When you press
Attach image
in the user data card, you can attach your own
picture to the card. The picture must first be stored in JPEG format in the
Contact images subfolder of the Downloaded files folder.
Memory
This application shows the amount of available free memory for storing data
and installing new software. Press
Details
to open up a list of folders and
other data in the communicator. The list shows how much memory each of
them takes up, and it is updated each time you press
Details
.
If your memory card is inserted in the communicator, press
Memory card
to
check the amount of available memory in the card.
If the memory is getting low, you should remove some documents. Before
removing, you can print, fax or mail them, or transfer them to a PC or a
memory card.
Note:
Avoid using codes that are
similar to emergency numbers to
prevent accidental dialling of the
emergency number.
