Monitoring Network Interface Cards

You can assess the general operating condition of the NICs in your appliance 
by looking at the LED status indicators on each NIC. The status indicators for 
each NIC are explained in 

Chapter 5, “Connecting PMC Network Interface 

Cards.”

Use Nokia Network Voyager to access detailed port information. For 
information about how to access Network Voyager, see 

“Accessing Nokia 

Network Voyager Reference Information” 

on page 52.

You can also use the IPSO tcpdump command to examine the traffic on a 
specific port.
