Power unit
Power can be set and displayed in either milliwatts (mW) or decibel-milliwatts
(dBm). Select this menu item and turn the selection dial left or right to set the
power units to either mW or dBm.

Watchdog timer
If the communications link between the laser and the CONTROL GUI on a PC is
lost, you can enable the watchdog timer to disable emission. When the timer is
enabled, the laser monitors the communications link. When the laser detects that
the link is broken, the watchdog timer begins to countdown. If the timer expires
before the link is restored, emission is shutdown. The timeout period for the
watchdog can be set between 1 and 255 seconds. To turn of the function, set the
Watchdog Timer to OFF

Display backlight
Use the Display backlight menu to adjust the backlight intensity of the LCD
display panel. Enter the menu and turn the selection dial left or right to vary the
intensity.
