36 Cleaning
36.1 Transmitter
WARNING
Disconnect instrument from mains
Disconnect the instrument from mains power before cleaning.
Disregarding may lead to electric shocks.
Important information
• Do not remove the
blue plastic rails
to clean the enclosure.
• Do not use the damp cloth to wipe over the
terminal clamp blocks
.
Clean the transmitter enclosure if required using a dry, lint-free cloth.
For stubborn dirt the enclosure can be cleaned using a damp cloth.
Do
not
use sharp cleansing agents or solvents. Light household cleaners or soapy water can
be used.
36.2 Sensors
The hints on how to maintain and clean the sensors shall be necessarily observed. These hints
can be found in the >Technical Instruction< and/or the >Instructor Manual<.

37 Dismantling/Disposal
Improper disposal may be harmful to the environment.

Always dispose equipment components and packaging materials according to applicable
local regulations on environmental standards for electronic products:
1. Disconnect the unit from mains power.
2. Use appropriate tools to remove the connected cables from the faceplate of the
instrument.
3. Remove the transmitter from the DIN rail.
4. Remove the backup battery and make sure that the backup battery will be dis-
posed of separately.
EC WEEE-Directive logo
This symbol indicates that the Directive 2002/96/EG on waste electrical and electronic
equipment requirements shall be observed on the disposal of the equipment.
The unit contains a buffer battery (Lithium coin cell), which must be disposed separately.
