Shooting with a High-Speed Burst (Sport Continuous Mode)
Sport continuous mode allows the split-second movements of high-speed moving
subjects to be captured through continuous shooting.
• The image size is fixed to
B
1600×1200 or
A
1280×960 (
A
64).
• The ISO sensitivity is set automatically within the range of ISO 160 to 3200.
•
The focus, exposure, and white balance settings are fixed at the values for the first
picture in each series.

Rotate the mode dial to
d
(sport
continuous).
• The camera enters sport continuous
mode.

Press the
d
button and confirm or change
the continuous shooting setting.

• Switch to the
d
tab when the sport continuous menu
is not displayed (
A
13).
• Once the configuration is complete, press the
d
button to return to the shooting screen. Pressing the shutter-release button also
returns to the shooting screen.

Frame the subject and shoot.
• The camera focuses on the subject in the center of the
frame. Pressing the shutter-release button halfway sets
the focus and exposure.
• When High-speed mode is set, press the shutter-
release button fully to shoot continuously a number of
frames that is appropriate for the setting. You do not
need to hold down the shutter-release button.
• When Pre-shooting cache is set, press the shutter-release button fully and hold it down
to shoot frames continuously (up to 25 frames).
• When shooting is finished, monitor display reverts to shooting mode. If the
O
icon is
displayed, do not turn off the camera.
