Upper/Lower Shaft Position Adjustment

1 . Remove the following parts.

1 ) Lens clamp (40251-3200)

(See 7.1.26 [p124].)

2 ) Lens adapter (40251-M045)

(See 7.5.1 [p161].)

2 . Turn on the instrument breaker.
3 . Loosen HH6 × 8 (n = 2) fastening the

upper shaft gear (40273-M540).

4 . Attach the axis angle alignment jig 2

(41475-M002) to the lower shaft (40273-
M303).

5 . Turn the large pulley (40273-M509) and

lower the upper shaft (40273-M532) to
fasten axis angle alignment jig 2 (41475-
M002).

6 . Tighten HH6 × 8 (n = 2).
7 . Remove axis angle alignment jig 2

(41475-M002).

Make sure that the pin (82001-
PN027) of the lower shaft
(40273-M303) aligns to the
groove of axis angle alignment
jig 2 (41475-M002).

Make sure that the pin (82001-
PN027) of the upper shaft
(40273-M532) aligns to the
groove of axis angle alignment
jig 2 (41475-M002).
