KTMED OXYPALM SpO2 monitor
Supplemental Operators Information
OXYPALM is indicated for use in measuring and displaying functional oxygen saturation and pulse
rate for neonatal, paediatric and adult use.
The device should be used for spot-checking only and
isn’t suitable for unattended continuous monitoring, due to limitations of the Audio Alarm.
Functions & Display:
Power button, Press (>2 Seconds) to turn device ON. All LEDs are shown, followed by device
software version. Press Power button (>2 Seconds) to turn device OFF.
Upper numeric display = Patient SpO2 reading.
Lower numeric display = Patient Pulse rate.
Green Segment bar = Pulse Strength Indicator.
“SEn” “OPn” = “Sensor Open”, Sensor not connected to device.
“Fin” “OPn” = “Finger Open”, Sensor is not attached to the patient.
“POA” “OFF” = “Power OFF”, Device is about to turn OFF.
“0” “0” = If both SpO2 and Pulse rate display numeric are Zero then device is
Searching
for a
signal.
Numeric Flashing = If both SpO2 and Pulse rate display numeric are flashing then this
indicates a
Noisy Signal
, normally due to patient movement or poor positioning of the sensor.
Green LED (solid) = Audio Alarm is
Silenced
.
To activate
Alarm Silence,
Press M button (short press). Press M button to re-activate audio.
Note: Audio Alarm re-activates after the set Alarm Interval time is reached: OFF, 30sec, 60Sec,
90Sec, 120Sec. Warning: If Alarm Interval time is set to OFF device remains permanently silenced.
Red LED Flashing =
Alarm condition

Silenced Alarm condition

Battery Low LED = Batteries require replacement.
