Enabling external frequency reference
You can switch the enabled/disabled for the external frequency reference in the Utility screen.
In the Utility screen, select [Ext Reference], and then press the ENTER key to switch an indicator to
[Enable] from [Disable]. This enables the external frequency reference.
If you want to reset to [Disable], press the ENTER key again.
If the setting of [Ext Reference] is [Enable] and the status of [10MHz Ref In] is [Valid], then this product
operates using the signal input to the external 10 MHz frequency reference terminal as the frequency
reference.
If the external frequency reference signal breaks on the way, the frequency reference is automatically
switched to the built-in frequency reference. After that, if the external frequency reference signal returns,
this product operates using it again as the frequency reference.
What is used as the frequency reference is always displayed on the status display area in the top of the
screen.
In the Utility screen, select [Ext
Reference] and press the ENTER key
If the available frequency reference is
entered, [Valid] is displayed in the [10MHz
Ref In] field. Otherwise, [Invalid] is displayed.
If the current frequency reference is external, the [Ref]
icon is displayed
