Replacing data disks

It is always recommended that you replace failed disk drives immediately to ensure that the system has an
adequate number of spare drives.

►

To replace a failed data drive:

1. Press the release switch down to unlatch the drive extraction lever. The lever pops out.

2. Using the drive extraction lever, pull the disk drive out approximately 1/2 to 1 inch, then grasp the drive

carrier body and remove the drive the rest of the way.
