GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The G6-270R is a dual band collinear design using phased 5/8 wave elements on both bands. Two 5/8
wave elements are used on 2 meter and four 5/8 wave elements are utilized on the UHF band. The gain
is 6 dB on both bands, referenced to a dipole. This antenna is shunt-fed, D.C. grounded for static
discharge.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Check package contents against illustration to insure all items are included.
Note: One corner of the flange which the radials are mounted on has a metal strip installed
over the screw hole.

Refer to Figure 1 and install the four radial tubes to the base section. Use the 5180-5 screws
to secure each radial between the radial plate and base flange, the radials must be aligned
so that the first 2-1/2 inches are under the radial plate as shown in the illustration. Install a
plastic cap on the outer end of each radial.

Before you attach your cable be sure you are using a type N connector. Attempting to attach
a PL-259 connector to the antenna will break the center pin of the flange mounted N
connector on the antenna.

Do not apply coax seal around the flange of the antenna connector. Under certain
circumstances the antenna drains excess water around the edges of the flange. Sealing this
flange connector may cause water to accumulate in the base assembly.
TUNING INSTRUCTIONS
The G6270R is factory tuned.

Newtronics Antenna Corp. warrants its products to be free of defects in material and workmanship and extends this warranty
under intended use and normal service conditions to the original owner for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
This warranty does not apply to any product that has been repaired or altered in any manner and is void for any damage due to
accident, neglect, unreasonable use, improper installation or any other cause not arising out of defects in material or
workmanship. The obligations of Newtronics Antenna Corp. are limited to repairing or replacing, at its option any product or part
that is returned to the factory, all transportation charges prepaid, accompanied by proof of purchase and which examination
reveals to have been defective within the warranty period stated above.
Newtronics Antenna Corp. does not assume, nor is any person authorized to assume for it, any obligation other than that herein
stated.
Any implied warranties, including by not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration for the above one year
period. Newtronics Antenna Corp. shall not be liable under this warranty or any implied warranty, for loss of use of the product
or for other consequential loss of damage incurred by the purchaser.
Some states do not allow the exclusion of limitations of implied warranties of consequential damages and so the above
exclusions of limitations may not apply in those states. This warranty gives you special legal rights and you may have other
rights that vary from state to state.
