Appendix 8: Parameter Programming Examples
The following examples show you how to program parameters by scanning programming barcodes.
a. Program the Decode Session Timeout
Example: Set the decode session timeout to 1500ms
1. Scan the Enter Setup barcode.
2. Scan the Decode Session Timeout barcode.
3. Scan the numeric barcodes
“1”, “5”, “0” and “0”.
4. Scan the Save barcode.
5. Scan the Exit Setup barcode. (If you still need to program other parameter/feature, skip this step.)
b. Program the Timeout between Decodes (Same Barcode)
Example: Set the timeout between decodes (same barcode) to 1000ms
1. Scan the Enter Setup barcode.
2. Scan the Timeout between Decodes (Same Barcode) barcode.
3. Scan the numeric barcodes
“1”, “0”, “0” and “0”.
4. Scan the Save barcode.
5. Scan the Exit Setup barcode. (If you still need to program other parameter/feature, skip this step.)
c. Program the Central Area
Example: Set the percentage of central area to 20%
1. Scan the Enter Setup barcode.
2. Scan the Specify Central Area barcode.
3. Scan the numeric barcodes
“2” and “0”.
4. Scan the Save barcode.
5. Scan the Exit Setup barcode. (If you still need to program other parameter/feature, skip this step.)
