Code ID Prefix
Code ID can also be used to identify barcode type. Unlike AIM ID, Code ID is user programmable. Code
ID can only consist of one or two English letters.

Modify Code ID
Code ID of each symbology can be programmed separately. See the following example to learn how to
program a Code ID.
Example: Set the Code ID of Code 128 to
“p”
1. Check the hex value of
“p” in the ASCII Table. (“p”: 70)
2. Scan the
Modify Code 128 Code ID
barcode.
3. Scan the numeric
barcodes “7” and “0” from the “Digit Barcodes (1D Scanner)” section in Appendix.
4. Scan the
Save
barcode from the
“Save/Cancel Barcodes (1D Scanner)” section in Appendix.
