PREPARING FOR LONG-TERM STORAGE
If the fridge will not be used for a long time, it will be necessary to defrost the
unit and completely dry the interior.
1.
Disconnect the fridge from the power supply by removing the plug from the
wall socket.
WARNING:
Do not touch the plug when your hands are wet. Never unplug
the unit by pulling the cord.
2.
Leave the door open until the unit is completely dry inside. Place a towel at
the bottom of the inside of the unit to prevent leakage onto the floor.
CAUTION:
Store the unit out of the reach of children. If you have children,
you may want to take additional precautions such as removing the door.
CLEANING THE FRIDGE
•
Unplug from power and remove all items, including shelves.
•
Wipe the interior with a warm water and baking soda solution. The solution
should be about 2 tablespoons of baking soda to one quart of water.
•
Wipe down the shelves with a mild detergent solution.
•
Wipe down the outside of the fridgewith warm water and mild liquid
detergent.
•
Do not use steel wool or a steel brush on the stainless steel. These will erode
the stainless steel and cause it to rust.
CAUTION:
Failure to unplug the appliance before cleaning could result in electric
shock or personal injury.
MOVING THE FRIDGE
•
Remove all items from inside the appliance.
•
Leave the door open until the unit is completely dry inside. Place a towel at
the bottom of the inside of the unit to prevent leakage onto the floor.
•
Securely tape down shelves inside the unit, and tape the door shut.
•
Turn the adjustable legs up into the base to avoid damaging them.
•
Keep upright throughout all transportation.
