Function “speed threshold”
The function “speed threshold” enables an output on the terminal of a
programmable input/output if the speed falls below the speed threshold.
Select menu item
MAIN MENU - Configuration - I\O
Configuration - I\O Ports - RAW
and select the input/output to
be parametrised (

Calculation The speed must be entered in the RAW register as a hexadecimal value.
The conversion from decimal to hexadecimal values is done recursively
digit by digit until the decimal value is <16:
- Digit 1 = integer rest for (decimal value / 16)
- New decimal value = (old decimal value - integer rest) / 16
- Digit 2 = integer rest for (new decimal value / 16)
- New decimal value = (old decimal value - integer rest) / 16
- ..
Example Speed value = 300 mm/s
- Digit 1 = integer rest for (300 / 16) = 12 = “C”
- New decimal value = (300 - 12) / 16 = 18
- Digit 2 = integer rest for (18 / 16) = 2 = “2”
- New decimal value = (18 - 2) / 16 = “1”
- Digit 3 = “1”
