Four wheel drive lever
The four wheel drive (4WD) is controlled by a lever. The
lever is located on the left-hand control pod.
NOTE:
Use four wheel drive when additional traction is re-
quired while operating on loose soil, in wet, slippery condi-
tions, or on slopes. For normal operation on firm soil, level
hard surfaces, or when operating the unit at high speeds,
disengage the four wheel drive to maximize tire and driv-
eline life and to economize on fuel.
Gear model
To engage the four wheel drive on gear model tractors,
stop the tractor completely, depress the clutch pedal and
move the lever

completely forward. To disengage the
four wheel drive, stop the tractor completely, depress the
clutch pedal and pull the lever

rearward.
