4 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
PARKING THE UNIT
Brakes and controls - Park

WARNING
Avoid injury! Always do the following before
lubricating, maintaining, or servicing the ma-
chine.
1. Disengage all drives.
2. Engage parking brake.
3. Lower all attachments to the ground, or
raise and engage all safety locks.
4. Shut off engine.
5. Remove key from key switch.
6. Switch off battery key, if installed.
7. Wait for all machine movement to stop.
Failure to comply could result in death or se-
rious injury.

To park the tractor carry out the following procedures:
1. Depress the clutch pedal

and brake pedals
(2)

Pull the hand throttle lever
(3)
rearward to reduce the
engine speed.
NOTE:
Park the tractor on a level surface, if it is neces-
sary to park on a slope, place the transmission in the
lowest gear and place chocks or blocks in front or be-
hind the tires depending on the direction of the slope.
2. Place the shuttle shift lever
(4)
main gear shift lever
(5)
in neutral and make sure the PTO switch
(6)
is in the
"OFF" position.
3. Push the HPL control lever
(7)
forward to lower imple-
ments (if equipped) to the ground. Turn the key
(8)
to
the "STOP" position.
4. Engage the park brake
(9)
and release the brake ped-
als and clutch pedal slowly.
