STEP: 1 Activation
Insert the USB modem into an available USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 slot.
The device starts up and, if a 3G or LTE network signal is
available, it will automatically try to activate your account (a
message will appear indicating hands free activation is in
progress).
Note:
Position the device to get the best possible signal.

Continue to Windows or Mac driver installation ***
STEP: 2 Mac Driver Installation
a) The device starts up, and then the TRU-Install window opens.
Double-click the
Install Drivers
icon
b) Follow the onscreen instructions.
c) When prompted for your password, enter your Mac password.
d) Click
Continue Installation
.
e) When finished, click
Restart
to reboot the computer.
STEP: 2 Windows Driver Installation
The device will auto-install drivers, you must accept the license
agreement pop-up window to continue, follow the prompts to
complete driver installation.
Note:
If the driver
fails
to auto-install, go to
Step 3
or
4
STEP: 3 Windows AutoPlay Driver Installation
If the
AutoPlay
window opens, click
Run setup.exe
, and when
the End user license agreement is displayed, select
I’ve read
and agree to the terms and conditions of my order
.
STEP: 4 Windows No Prompt Driver Installation
If auto-install is not given and AutoPlay window does not open:
a) Press
+E
to open My Computer
b) Open the
Tru-Install
drive
c) Open the
Win
folder
d) Double-click
Setup.exe
e) Click
Install
Improving Signal Strength
•
Make sure you’re inside a network coverage area.
•
Try reorienting your device.
•
Move your computer to another location — you may be in or near a
structure that is blocking the signal. Every obstacle (for example, walls,
ceilings, furniture) decreases the signal strength.
•
Make sure there’s plenty of space around your device to provide the best
signal reception.
•
If you cannot obtain service, contact your data service provider — a
network or account problem may be preventing you from obtaining
service.
