Maintenance and servicing
Observe the safety instructions in chap. Safety, from page 5 on.
If necessary clean the surface of the NTK with a moist cloth to remove
dust deposits.
To clean the NTK with pressurised water, proceed as follows:
1. Close the supply air and exhaust air openings.
2. Clean the NTK externally with pressurised water.
3. Activate the NTK briefly.
Maintenance of the NTK must be carried out as follows:
Interval
Action
After one hour of opera-
tion after initial commis-
sioning
Check fastening screws.*
Check hose screw connections and hose fittings, retighten if
necessary.
Weekly to monthly
Ensure that mist lubricator operates according to regulations.
Refill oil if necessary (except for the NTK L).
Clean the filter of the maintenance unit and replace, if neces-
sary.
Monthly
Check fastening screws.*
Check hose screw connections and hose fittings, retighten if
necessary.
Check hose supply connections for permeability and kinks. If
necessary, clean and remove kinks.
Check the function of the silencer. Clean silencer.
Check the function of the NTK.
1
* Observe the recommended tightening torques (see Ch. Technical data, from page 7 on).
The maintenance intervals depend essentially on the operating conditions,
the service life and how clean the drive medium is.
Unfiltered compressed air leads to high wear, clogging of the silencer or
complete breakdown of the NTK.
Depending on the operating conditions, increased abrasion can form a
deposit which impairs the performance.
If you notice loss of performance or standstill of the NTK clean the NTK
completely and replace the sealing rings if necessary.
For complete cleaning of the NTK it is necessary to remove the piston.
The deposit must be removed from the inside of the housing and the pis-
ton with an oiled cloth.
Maintenance, repair and general overhaul of the NTK may alternatively be
