Chapter 1
Introduction
This Firmware User Guide covers the advanced features of the Netopia ENT Enterprise-Series Router family.
Your Netopia equipment offers advanced configuration features accessed through the Main Menu of the Telnet
configuration screen. This
Firmware User Guide documents the advanced features, including advanced testing,
security, monitoring, and configuration. This Firmware User Guide should be used as a companion to the
Quickstar t Guide and the Getting Star ted Guide . You should read the Quickstar t Guide and the Getting Star ted
Guide before reading this Firmware User Guide .
What’s New in 8.7
New in Netopia Firmware Version 8.7 are the following features:

Corresponding commands have been added to the Command Line Inter face (CLI). In addition:

CLI now suppor ts initiating a telnet session from the command line.
