satellite's LAN port 1 to the router's WAN port 1 to have a Ethernet backhaul speed of
2.5 Gbps.
To change the WAN port speed:
1. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your
Orbi network.
2. Enter orbilogin.com.
A login window displays.
If your browser does not display a login window but displays a security warning and
does not let you proceed, see What to do if you get a browser security warning on
page 33.
3. Enter the admin user name and password.
The user name is admin. The password is the one that you set the first time that you
logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home page displays.
4. Select ADVANCED > Setup > WAN Setup.
The WAN Setup page displays.
5. In the WAN Port Speed section, select a WAN port speed radio button:
•
Port 1 (2.5G). The WAN port operates at a speed of 2.5 Gbps. Connect your
modem to the router's WAN port if this radio button is selected. This is the default
option.
•
Port 2 (1G). If you select this option, the router's LAN port 2 becomes the WAN
port that operates at a speed of 1 Gbps. The WAN port becomes a LAN port that
operates at a speed of 2.5 Gbps. Connect your modem to LAN port 2 if this radio
button is selected.
6. Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.
Dynamic DNS
Internet service providers (ISPs) assign IP addresses to identify each Internet account.
Most ISPs use dynamically assigned IP addresses, which means that the IP address can
change at any time. If you know your IP address, you can use it to access your business
network remotely. However, because the IP address is assigned dynamically, it can
change.
