Field Name Description
Time Servers The Yap Jack Pro contacts this
server to obtain the current time
in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
There is no need to change the
default value unless you would
like to point the Yap Jack Pro to
your own time server. (Default:
time@net2phone.com )
Note: If you point to your own
time server, it must provide
GMT or the time printed on the
receipt will be incorrect.
Time Zone Enter the number hours from
which your time zone deviates
from the GMT. For example, if
you’re in New York, you would
enter
–5
, indicating that Eastern
Standard Time is 5 hours less
than GMT. The Yap Jack Pro
obtains the time from the time
server and calculates the
difference using the value in the
Time Zone field, resulting in the
correct local time. The local time
is then printed on the receipt.
(Default: 0)
DST Indicate whether or not the Yap
Jack Pro should adjust the time
for Daylight Savings. If Yes, the
time will be adjusted forward one
hour. For example, if the
standard time is 12:00pm, the
Daylight Savings adjusted time is
1:00pm. (Default: No)
