GIS Module
With the help of the GIS module, additional attributes or properties are added to points and elements. The
effect of the GIS module is only visible in the layer manager, where additional properties and attributes are
assigned to the layers and their dimensions are defined.
Activation of the GIS module:

" field, select the setting for gis = On
Define properties and attributes in the layer manager
Note: only visible when the GIS module is switched on.
• Tap
to start the layer manager.
• Tap
to create a new layer.

Set name, colour, type and thickness.
o
In the "
Properties
" pull-down, choose between
point
,
line
or
area
to define the graphical
property of the element.
o
Select
to add properties to an element.
o
Assign a name for the property in the name field.
o
Choose from the pulldown between:
integer
,
decimal
,
text
or
date
.
o
Enter the maximum number of letters / digits for text and decimal numbers.
o
In the case of decimal numbers, also indicate the number of places after the decimal
point.

Confirm the entries with

o
Layers without GIS properties can also be created, simply leave the properties empty and
do not make any entries.
Survey of elements with defined GIS properties and attributes
When recording/surveying elements, the corresponding GIS properties for the element are queried during
recording. Depending on the defined property (point, line or area), the input of the properties is started
differently. A property is only recorded once per element.
Saving projects with GIS properties

When saving projects with GIS properties, choose the .agp format.
•
This creates a file archive Name.zip - the GIS properties are only saved in agp format.
•
Name.zip contains the files name.dbf, name.prj, name.shp, name.shx for further processing in a GIS
system.
Open projects with GIS properties
•
Projects with GIS properties can only be opened with the gis functionality switched on.
•
* .agp projects can only be opened, * .agp projects are not intended for Import.
