Replacing pump
Tools / aids:
- Torx screwdriver T10
- Open-ended spanner 14mm AF
- Long-nose pliers
- Pot to collect water
Procedure:
1 Follow general disassembly stage 1 (see
page 24).
2 Remove all electrical connections from
pump (61).
4 Remove clamp (45) and hose (65). Keep
a pot at hand to collect the water left in the
hose and pump.
5 Remove angled hose (57).
6 Release pump (61) first from bottom
rubber strap (54), then from the top rubber
strap.
7 Remove seal (51) and angle (37).
8 Detach thermostat (68) with clip (67) from
pump (61).
9 Replace defective pump (61).
Repair
10 Fix thermostat (68) to new pump (61) with
clip (67).
11 Insert seal (51) and tighten corner
connector (37).
12 Turn corner connector to the correct
position using open-ended spanner on
pump projection.
13 Assemble in reverse sequence.
Check wiring of pump and
thermostat after assembly!
