I n t r o d u c t i o n I n t r o d u c t i o n Saturn Bp Portable
Saturn Bp is a portable terminal for the Inmarsat-B system. It
provides a quickly established and very reliable link to terrestrial
networks.
The complete system including the four-section antenna, Main
Control Unit and RF equipment is packed in a compact and
robust case. Main connectors and telephone handset are easily
accessed from a compartment at one end. It is equipped with
wheels for easy transportation and total weight is only 18 kg.
Saturn Bp can be connected to a wide range of AC or DC supply
voltages and has an exceptional low power consumption. It
operates over a wide temperature range, withstands rain and
snow and is ideal for tough environments.

to 90 m dependent on type of coax cable.

• Additional outlets for telephone, fax and data.
• Last number redial and short number dialing via alpha-
numeric editing and recall facilities.
• Handset with built-in display and keypad for dialling, system
control and diagnostics, short number editing and signal
strength read-out.
• Design based on proprietary custom ASICs and Digital
Signal Processors giving stable trouble-free operation.
