If the rotation is in the wrong direction, turn back to zero, allow the motor to stop and then
start in the other direction. In the wrong direction, the back-flush valve prevents air from being
sucked backwards through the appliance. The starting procedure is made considerably more
difficult if the hand lever is not pressed in, and the starting equipment can be damaged.
NOTE!
The fan can become very hot, even during normal operation. Prevent overheating by
ensuring that a flow of air passes the fan. Obstructing hoses, a closed flap valve or the motor
rotating in the wrong direction can cause overheating.
6.1.3
Motor protection 30S/55S
See Figure 8. If the motor protection was activated and turned off the motor:
Starters without a reset button feature automatic resetting of the motor protection on restart:
•
Turn the Start switch (a) to the 0 position; a restart can then be made.
Starters with a reset button are reset as follows:
•
Turn the Start switch (a) to the 0 position.
•
Press in the button (b).
•
The unit can now be restarted.
NOTE!
Check and rectify the reason why the motor protection activated.
6.2
Transport and lifting
The appliance can be transported vertically or horizontally. In order not to spread any
hazardous dust when transporting, the suction hose should be disconnected from the inlet
so that the flap valve closes. The majority of hoses can be ‘short-circuited’ by connecting the
couplings at either end of the hose.
The collecting receptacle must be fitted when transporting and lifting the appliance. The
eccentric catches holding the collecting receptacle must be secured with locking cotters, see
Figure 4. Remove the cleaning equipment and other loose parts from the appliance and empty
the receptacle prior to lifting. Replace sack/bag in the collecting receptacle if it contains large
amounts of heavy material.
When lifting the appliance, the lifting straps must be connected to the lifting loop intended for
this purpose. Otherwise the appliance should not be lifted. At the same time check that there
is no damage at the lifting loop’s mounts in the frame, and that other parts of the appliance are
firmly secured.
WARNING!
Risk of personal injury.
It is prohibited to be underneath the appliance when lifting.
It is prohibited to lift the appliance by the handle.
