NEC Versa AC Adapter

Do not attempt to disassemble the AC adapter. It has no user-

replaceable or serviceable parts inside. Dangerous voltage in the AC adapter can cause serious
personal injury or death. The AC adapter is intended for use with a computer and must meet
EN609050 standards.

The AC adapter for the NEC Versa TXi is intended for use in AC power

sources within the range of 100-240 volts AC and 50-60 Hz.

Use only the AC adapter for the NEC Versa TXi system. Although other AC adapters may look
similar, using them can damage the system.

Connecting the AC Adapter

The AC adapter, when connected, charges the battery (or batteries) whether or not the computer
is powered on. Connect the AC adapter as follows:

1.

Connect the AC adapter cable to the power port on the left side of your NEC Versa (see the
figure on the following page).

2.

Plug one end of the AC power cord into the AC adapter and the other end into a properly
grounded 120- or 240-volt, 50- or 60-Hz wall outlet (see the figure on the following page).

Note

Australia, Europe, and Asia use an AC power cord specific to each country's standards,

so it may not resemble the power cord in the figure.
