Removing the Touchpad
Perform the following steps to remove the touchpad:
1. Turn the notebook up-side down.
2. Remove the screws shown in the picture below.

3. Remove the hard disk drive cover as explained in the section
.
4. Carefully lift and tilt the touchpad assembly and lay it face down on the system.
Note
: Observe care when performing this operation. The touchpad is still connected to the system via a
small flat cable that might damage if you do not operate carefully.
5. Disconnect the flat cable of the touchpad from the system as shown below. Now you can
remove the touchpad assembly from the system.

6. With the back of the touchpad assembly still facing up, remove the flat cable from the
assembly.
