Limiting Misdials from Unidentified Callers
An unidentified caller is a subscriber, guest, or other person who accesses the messaging system without entering a
valid personal ID. The unidentified caller has no system privileges and hears a different system
caller who enters a valid personal ID.
Use the following procedure to set the number of times an unidentified caller can enter an invalid
and
configure the action the messaging system takes when a caller exceeds the number of allowed misdials.
To limit the number of times a caller enters an invalid system ID
1.
In the Navigation Pane, click
System
>
Configuration
>
General
.

2.
Set the maximum number of times a caller can enter an invalid system ID in the
Maximum number of attempts
to enter a personal ID
field. The default number is ten.
3.
Select the maximum number of times a caller can enter an invalid security code from the
Maximum security
code/password attempts
list. The default value is one.
4.
Type the system ID a caller is transferred to after the caller has entered the maximum number of invalid log on
credentials in the
Callers entering a bad ID will be routed to
field.
5.
Click
Save
.
