NEC MD205MG Features Super Advanced In-Plane Switching LCD Technology,
Specifically Designed for Demanding Applications like Mammography and
Radiology
CHICAGO – November 26, 2007
– NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading stand-
alone provider of commercial and residential LCD, plasma, and projector displays,
announced today availability of the MultiSync MD205MG flat-panel monitor, specifically
for medical imaging applications, including mammography and PACS (picture archiving
and communication system).
The grayscale display can be seen at NEC Display Booth No. 2976 at the Radiological
Society of North America’s (RSNA’s) Annual Meeting and Conference today through
November 30 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
With a 2560 x 2048 native resolution, NEC’s 5-MP display includes in-plane switching
(IPS) LCD module technology, offering powerful details of medical images and a
possible 3,061 shades of gray. It also includes a backlight sensor and DICOM
calibration, as well as a 30-ms response time and a contrast ratio of 600:1. The
display’s pivoting stand allows for use in landscape or portrait orientation.
The NEC MD205MG monitor is part of the MultiSync MD Series, a family of medical-
grade LCDs designed exclusively for the demanding needs of the diagnostic
professional.
