Redial a Saved Number
• Lift handset or press the Speaker key.
• Press the function key for S&R . Number is dialed
automatically.
Set/Answer a Message
This allows you to set a message indicator on a called
party’s INASET R2 when their line was busy or did not
answer. Up to four messages can be stored on the INASET
R2.
Set a Message (Calling Station)
• Lift handset or press the Speaker key.
• Dial desired number. Hear busy tone or no answer.
• Press the function key for
Msg . (Calling station’s
display shows message set and the called station’s
number.)
Answer a Message (Called Station)
Display all Called Messages:
• Your INASET R2 display shows you received a
message, the calling number and time.
• Press the function key for Msg . (Called station’s
display shows message indicator, the calling station’s
number and time.) Press Msg as needed to display all
stored messages.
Respond to a Message:
• While displaying the desired message (see above), lift
handset. Station that left message is automatically
dialed.
• Message is erased.
NOTE
If the saved number is busy or did not answer when dialed, press the function key for
S&R to save the number again before hanging up.

Contact your phone system administrator to determine if your INASET R2 has this
function configured.
