Note
Completely recharge the house battery after installation or any maintenance duties, otherwise the
state of charge (SOC) will not be displayed correctly.
11 Checking the system operation
1.
With the engine and all the equipment turned off, check that the voltage shown on the display is equal to the
voltage measured at the house battery terminals within tolerance of ±
0.15
V.
2. With the engine and all the equipment turned off, check that the voltage shown on the display is equal to the
voltage measured at the starter battery terminals within tolerance of ±
0.15
V.
3. With the engine turned off, turn on some of the equipment and check if a negative current is shown on the dis-
play. Place an ammeter clamp on the wire at pole 3 of the control unit. Verify that the current shown on the dis-
play is the same as the current displayed on the ammeter within tolerance of ±
10
%.
4. With all equipment turned off, turn on the engine and verify that the starter battery voltage rises to 13.5
V …
14.8
V. If voltage remains below 13.5
V, the starter battery is likely to be discharged or the alternator is malfunci-
tioning. If a positive current is shown on the display, it indicates that the house battery is charging. In this case,
continue with step 5.
5. If the check in step 4 has been successfully completed and the house battery is not fully charged, check the dis-
play for a positive current. Check if the arrow pointing to the starter battery turns red. Place the ammeter clamp
on the wire at pole 3 of the control unit. Verify that the current shown on the display is the same as the current
displayed on the ammeter within tolerance of ±
10
%.
