This setting controls the operating mode of the SSI interface. Settings 4, 5, and 6 support
reset of the pulse count/length from material present (MP) loss, reset length commands R
and R0, and via external reset input (pin 18). Settings 1, 2, and 3 do not support reset by
MP loss, the reset length commands or external reset input.
