Sleeper Features
Auto Start / Stop Mode
1.
To enable, set all safety interlocks (Neutral, parking
brake set, clutch not depressed, hood closed).
2.
Turn the ignition key to ACC / ON and then OFF.
3.
Depress and release Auto Start / Stop switch on the
instrument panel within 30 seconds after turning off
ignition.
A green LED will light steadily to indicate
system is enabled.
Once enabled, the system
automatically
operates
based
upon
programmed
parameters.
4.
Set bunk temperature and blower speed to desired
settings using either sleeper or instrument panel
mounted controls.
5.
Set cab temperature controls to match sleeper settings
to maintain comfort level during run cycle.
6.
If equipped, depress NO IDLE HEAT or NO IDLE COOL
switch on the bunk panel as desired. System will retain
and resume settings after each run cycle.
7.
Horn will sound twice before the engine starts.
8.
To disable, depress and release auto start / stop switch
on the instrument panel.
Manual Start / Stop Mode
1.
To enable, perform Steps 1 - 6 as previously stated in
the auto start / stop mode.
2.
To start engine, depress and release ENGINE CNTL
switch on the sleeper control panel.
3.
After a few seconds, horn will sound twice and the
system will automatically start the engine.
4.
To stop engine, depress and release ENGINE CNTL
switch on the sleeper control panel.
5.
To disable, depress and release auto start / stop switch
on the instrument panel.
In manual start / stop mode, engine shall stop running when:
•
ENGINE CNTL switch on the sleeper control panel is
depressed again.
•
Auto start / stop switch on the instrument panel is
switched to OFF.
•
Change is made to the safety interlocks (parking brake is
released, clutch is depressed, gear is taken out of Neutral,
or the vehicle speed is greater than 5 mph (8 km/h).
•
Engine run time has elapsed.
