3. Open the hot water tap that is closest to the boiler.
4. Use a hair dryer or a portable electric heater to heat up both
the primary and secondary heat exchangers.
5. Check every few minutes to see if water is running at the
open tap.
6. When the water starts flowing again, check the boiler and
piping for leaks. If you detect any leaks or the boiler is not
operating properly, contact an authorised technician or
licensed professional.
Note
This boiler requires very little maintenance, however
a qualified technician should inspect the boiler at the
beginning of every heating season and/or when there
is a problem.
11.5 Routine Servicing
Navien advises on an interim service inspection with a flue gas
analyser. A full strip down service is recommended at regular
intervals or where analyser readings are not within correct safety
standards.
11.5.1 Interim Service
For reasons of safety and economy, it is recommended that the
boiler is serviced annually. Servicing must be performed by a
competent person in accordance with BS 7967. After servicing,
complete the relevant Service Interval Record section of the
Benchmark Checklist located on the inside back page of this
document.
